Café Lang

In 2012, a couple of young gastronomes took over the former (and legendary) locale, El Greco, situated directly on Limmatplatz at the intersection between Langstrasse, the city center, and the industrial quarter.

The Café Lang has quickly established itself at and enlivened this prominent location; nowadays, it is a place where you can just as easily stop for a quick espresso at the bar before doing some shopping in the Migros next door as enjoy a relaxing evening with friends over a drink or two. In summer, a particular attraction is the large terrace overlooking Limmatplatz, from where Zurich looks particularly cosmopolitan, but also the garden in the courtyard, which is cozy and peaceful.

A further highlight of the Café Lang is – believe it or not – the restrooms in the basement. Some say they are the most beautiful in the whole of Zurich.
