Schickeria

When you hear the name, “Schickeria”, you immediately think of women in stilettos and men in suits elegantly sipping a glass of champagne. But the locale of the same name in Zurich could hardly be more different.

The clientele is a colorful mixture of young and old, hip and not so hip – and guests are served cocktails that are by all means affordable. In the mint-green bar, with its small tables and comfortable chairs, popular DJs from far and near provide great music, and the staff are also friendly and charming. The fact that everything without exception is served in a wine glass – including the beer – is another quirky detail of this laid-back little bar in the trendy Langstrasse quarter.

In addition, the small terrace in front of the bar is occasionally used for BBQs, games or music bands, while in winter, the outdoor area is sometimes transformed into an open-air chalet, with fur blankets and an open fire crackling in the fireplace.
