Barchetta Bar & Lounge

Since time immemorial, the Barchetta on the ground floor of the Storchen hotel has been a favorite place to meet – for both locals and visitors from all over the world. Here, with a view of the guild houses and the Grossmünster on the opposite bank of the river, guests can sit and relax over a morning cup of coffee, a quick, light lunch, or an after-work beer.

The decor at the Barchetta is elegant and sophisticated, the atmosphere friendly and relaxed. In summer, the seats on the terrace on Weinplatz and under the arcades directly overlooking the river are extremely popular, while in winter, guests enjoy a glass of hot drinking chocolate or sparkling champagne indoors and enjoy the view of the magical Christmas lights in the city center.

And anyone wishing to arrive in style can take a trip on one of the three Limmat boats, “Felix”, “Regula”, or “Turicum”. They stop off directly in front of the Hotel Storchen at the hotel’s own landing stage, just like in Venice.
