Zurich Oberland Steam Train
Between May and October, railroad fans of all ages can undertake a trip on one of the historical trains operated by the Zurich Oberland Steam Train Association (DVZO).
On May 1 & 4, as well as on every first and third Sunday of the month between June and October, the hissing and snorting 19th-century locomotives operate on the line between Bauma and Hinwil. En route the carriages cross eight bridges and pass by 40 railroad crossings. It is not necessary to book in advance unless you want to travel in the dining car.
Incidentally, the DVZO also offers private trips for groups or clubs along the Bauma–Hinwil route at any time.
