TonhalleAIR

June 13 – 14, 2025

The Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich will be inviting audiences to enjoy an unforgettable program of live concerts for the whole family as part of their “tonhalleAIR” festival – held on the Münsterhof, right in the heart of the city, and with free admission.

Day 1: Stars in the making and seasoned virtuosos
The first day of the festival will begin with inspiring performances from the children and young people of the “Superar Suisse” choirs and orchestras.
In the evening, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich will be joined by internationally renowned pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet for a stunning musical highlight conducted by Paavo Järvi.

Day 2: An encounter between the generations
The focus of the second day is collaboration. Musicians from the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich will join forces with other local ensembles including the Zurich Jazz Orchestra to form one incredible big band directed by Ed Partyka, performing two concerts in the afternoon.
Another highlight will follow in the evening, when musicians from the Tonhalle Orchestra will perform together with the Jugend Sinfonie Orchester Zürich (Youth Sinfonia Orchestra Zurich) under the baton of Paavo Järvi, building a bridge between generations.
