Visit Zurich – Discover the Culinary Aspects of Switzerland

In culinary Zurich, you can upgrade your meeting or incentive with FOOD. Particularly worth trying are the local specialties – for no stay is complete without sampling Zürcher Geschnetzeltes and cheese fondue. Besides the FOOD ZURICH Festival, which is held for the first time this September, we can provide you with a host of suggestions about how you can enhance your meeting or incentive. Here are a just few:

Food Zurich // September 8–18, 2016
The Food Zurich Festival, which as from 2016 is to be held annually, unites the existing range of food fairs, markets and festivals under one roof and provides an added incentive to come up with new food initiatives. Over a period of 10 days, food lovers can find everything from urban street food to top-quality gourmet cuisine at the 60 events held in the city and surrounding region. At the Festival center, visitors have the opportunity to find out more, as well as to meet up and exchange opinions.

An Absolute Must: Our Local Specialties
Zürcher Geschnetzeltes is a traditional meat specialty that is just as much a part of Zurich as its numerous churches. It is best eaten at one of the city’s history-steeped guild houses, such as the magnificent Zunfthaus zur Waag. If you prefer cheese fondue, why not take a trip on the Fondue Tram, which can also be rented exclusively for private groups.

The World’s First Vegetarian Restaurant
At Haus Hiltl, everything centers on the enjoyment of healthy food. The world’s first vegetarian restaurant, which dates from 1898, offers vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike everything their heart desires. Have fun cooking vegetarian specialties together in a group, or hold your inspiring meetings in a relaxed atmosphere in one of the Hiltl’s three seminar rooms.

Discover the Sweet Side of Switzerland
From a chocolate workshop at the famous Lindt & Sprüngli Atelier to a Chocolate Indulge Tour through the charming Old Town: in Zurich, you can learn about the history of Swiss chocolate and, of course, sample plenty of deliciously sweet goodies.
