On November 19, Zürich Tourism’s Convention Bureau, together with various partners, met with 63 interested association clients at the schwarzescafé at the Löwenbräu-Areal in Zurich. “An enjoyable, informative, and relaxed event,” as one participant enthused.

Informative and innovative

For the tenth time in succession, Zürich Tourism’s Convention Bureau invited (potential) organizers of association congresses to a networking and information evening. This year, the event was held at schwarzescafé in the Löwenbräukunst arts complex in Zürich-West. This distinctive and constantly evolving venue has capacity to host events for up to 100 persons.

In collaboration with several partners, Zürich Tourism presented the various possibilities and support options for holding conventions in Zurich. Professor Dr. Carolin Strobl from the University of Zurich gave a first-hand account of how the International Meeting of the Psychometric Society IMPS 2017 in Zurich had been organized. Next, Ruud Janssen from Event Design Collective GmbH talked about the innovative approach to designing events using the #EventCanvas tool.

Networking and Apéro Riche

Subsequently, the catering team from the Stiftung Enzian treated guests to a lavish apéro riche. While enjoying the delicious hors d’oeuvres, those present had plenty of opportunity during personal conversations to pose specific questions to the Zürich Tourism staff and their partners, as well as to make new contacts. With stomachs full of culinary delicacies and heads packed with information and inspiration, the participants finally made their way home after three highly enjoyable hours.
