This university museum houses an important collection of marine saurians and fish species from the Middle Triassic period around 230 million years ago. The core of the exhibition focuses on the superbly preserved and scientifically very valuable fossils from Monte San Giorgio, an UNESCO world heritage in Southern Ticino.
