Flachsee hike

From Unterlunkhofen, follow the road downhill to the Reussbrücke, where the trail begins on the right-hand eastern riverbank. The 8-kilometer (5-mile) trail leads through riverside forests along Lake Flachsee, a habitat for countless water birds. After the halfway point, the convent of Hermetschwil comes into view, beautifully set on a hill on the other side of the Reuss river. After the romantic river loop, past the historical pilgrimage church of Emaus, the hike ends directly in the Old Town of Bremgarten. Hiking time: 2 hours Trip there: By postal bus from Baden to Bremgarten (route via Mellingen or Stetten), change in Bremgarten and continue by postal bus to Unterlunkhofen Trip back: By postal bus from Bremgarten (Post or Bahnhof station)
