Zürich Airport

During the late summer of 2003 the E dock at Zürichs airport was opened. Dock E is an unpretentious, slender building of some 488 meters in length. The connection to the existing airport facilities is carried out by means of the modern Skymetro. In the slender buildings which are bathed in light, the passengers find spacious waiting rooms, lounges, restaurants and shops. The building bears the trademark of the architectural firm of Spühler and Angélil/Graham/Pfenninger/Scholl. The glass facade and the large skylights almost make the building appear to be transparent.
