North American Native Museum (NONAM)

This is no ordinary collection of Indian memorabilia, but an unusual encounter with the art and culture of the first North American peoples, their past and their present, their disappearance and their survival. Through the exhibitions, which also address issues facing the Indians today, visitors can familiarize themselves with this representative collection and gain a valuable insight unblurred by false romance into the wide variety of indigenous cultures. The museum also has a section devoted to contemporary Indian works and, by virtue of its visitor-oriented programs and projects, is an important cultural venue for people interested in the life of the Indians and Inuit.
