The Rietberg Museum in Z?rich is the only art museum for non-European cultures in Switzerland. It possesses an internationally renowned collection of works from Asia, Africa, America and Oceania. By presenting works of art, the museum seeks not only to make visitors aware of the fascinating diversity of forms of artistic expression, but also to arouse their interest in and understanding of other cultures, ideologies and religions. With the opening of the extension in 2007, the museum, idyllically situated in one of Z?rich’s most beautiful parks, shines in new splendor.
