Zürich Tourism Figures (March, 31, 2007)

Zürich Tourism employs 48 full- and part-time members of staff. Of these, 22 work at the Main Train Station (Tourist Service and Operations), and 26 at the offices in Stampfenbachstrasse (Management and Marketing) in Zürich.

Every year, almost 600,000 local and international guests visit the Tourist Service at the Main Train Station, which is open 365 days a year. Here they receive general information about Zürich and the surrounding area, book hotels and tours, and obtain all kinds of information material.

The Call Center deals with almost 50,000 enquiries a year, more than 50% of them from the Zürich region.

Over 22,000 hotel reservations are made through Zürich Tourism each year.

Over 64,000 persons per year participate in Zürich Tourism’s city tours, which are held on a variety of themes in 16 languages.

Each year, Zürich Tourism looks after some 1,500 participants of study trips from both home and abroad, and promotes the sale of trips to Zürich all over the world. It also organizes almost 600 media trips, thus creating some 700 million media contacts. More information about the media and travel trade
