Zürich on Wheels – Free Bicycle Rentals in Zürich
From May to October, in Zürich, you can hire any of over 200 robust City Bikes completely free of charge, seven days a week. Bikes can be picked up at the following locations against presentation of a valid form of ID and a deposit of CHF 20:

The Horgen-Meilen ferry

The Horgen-Meilen ferry company was established in 1932 and it was only a year later that it launched its first ferry, the "Schwan". Since then, this "floating bridge" has grown continuously in popularity.

At peak times today, all five boats in the fleet operate at once, ferrying both commuters and holidaymakers between the two banks of Lake Zürich. Waiting times are minimal, since the five ferries "Schwan", "Meilen", "Horgen", "Zürisee" and "Burg" run a regular 10-minute service (with the timetable frequency increased to 6 minutes at peak hours).

The ferry boats are also available for charter for special excursions during off-peak hours, especially at weekends.
